get to know brooke from bespoke inc.

  • Straight out of high school I joined the beauty industry, working for cosmetic brands Clarins, Elizabeth Arden and Bobbi Brown. After many years I moved into senior management roles within the retail space, which has instilled in me exceptional customer service standards, which I pride myself on maintaining with my clients.

In 2020 I completed my cosmetic tattooing training with the PMU academy in Auckland, shortly after my family relocated to Tauranga and Bespoke Inc was born.

  • I am a true believer that great brows can not only transform your face, but also make you look years younger. I strive to make every client feel confident and deliver an amazing experience for them. I take time to ensure you are fully informed and educated before we begin and to provide ongoing support during the healing process and beyond. If you’re 18 or 80 I can help you get the brows of your dreams.

  • I pride myself in providing exceptional service to my clients within a friendly and relaxed environment. I create brows which will not only look great at the time, but also heal well over time. I believe in enhancing your beauty, while still looking natural. I take the cosmetic tattooing process very seriously, and pride myself on making sure my clients are fully informed and educated about the whole process.

Cosmetic Tattooing FAQS

  • Absolutely! Send me an email or message to arrange a time to come in.

  • During your first appointment we go over a thorough consultation to discuss your brow vision, skin type and lifestyle. Whether you wear makeup daily and what your expectations are for your potential brow tattoo are just some of the things to consider! After your consultation and after you have had the opportunity to express any questions or concerns you might have, we can then proceed to the pre draw of your appointment.

Using a makeup pencil I spend time drawing on the ideal brow shape for your face based on your bone structure, natural hair growth, age and brow vision. After I am completely happy and confident with the pre draw you can then review your new and improved shape in several mirrors to see how you feel, and if you are 100% happy to go ahead we can then proceed with the tattoo.

In very uncommon instances if you are not completely happy, we can work together to tailor it more to your vision, but if we cannot reach a mutual agreement there is no obligation to go ahead with the appointment.

*It is important to come in with an open mind when coming to your brow appointment. Based on my professional opinion and experience, I may occasionally recommend a slightly different shape to what you may be used to having on your brows or how you fill them in to create more balance and harmony.

  • Your first session with me is around 2 hours and includes a consultation, pre draw and tattooing. Your 6 week touch up is between 30-60 minutes.

  • After a few minutes of initial discomfort per brow(which is very tolerable, I would compare it to the feeling of scratching the brow area with your nail ), I apply a numbing gel which works in 1-2 minutes! After this has been applied, most of clients are very comfortable (many fall asleep)

  • No coffee, tea, alcohol, energy drinks or pre workout 24 hours before your appointment. You are most welcome to wear makeup to your appointment but bare in mind most of the makeup around forehead/eye area will be wiped off during the session.

  • - If you are under the age of 18

    - Pregnant or breastfeeding(see top of FAQ)

    - If you are prone to keloid scarring

    - On blood thinning medication

    - If you have been on acne medication in the last 9 months

    -Uncontrolled diabetes

  • Unfortunately you can't receive cosmetic tattooing if you are pregnant, it is possible to get cosmetic tattooing if breastfeeding, if you have the option to substitute with formula during the healing process. Feel free to arrange a free consultation (in person or over the phone) and we can discuss this further.

  • Unfortunately I don't allow any guests in the salon for our appointment together. Your appointment is specifically reserved for your time with me and my undivided attention, and guests can sometimes be a distraction.

  • No sweating, working out or getting your tattoo wet is allowed during the 7-10 day healing phase. Light walks are fine, but nothing that will raise your heart rate too much. Working out/sweating while healing puts you at risk of infection and poorly healed results.

  • Makeup directly around the area isn't recommended straight after your brow appointment, but wearing makeup during the healing phase is completely fine- just be careful to go around your brows when doing so and when removing your makeup use a makeup wipe gently around the area.

  • 7-10 days is the average time for your brows to heal, however each person is different and if you notice you are taking a few more days than normal to heal it's crucial not to pick or pull at the brows in an attempt to speed up the healing. Everyone's body heals differently and it's important to trust the process as you go through many different stages in the healing process

  • ONE TO TEN DAYS AFTER TREATMENT - THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE HEALING PROCESS!

Immediately after treatment you may experience slight redness and swelling to the treatment area. The colour of the pigment may appear dark initially, however during the first 10 days the colour will lose 20 to 40% of its intensity. Itching may occur.

    * Wipe away the lymph fluid from the treatment area with the provided makeup pad every hour for 5 hours.

*Brows must be cleansed 2 times a day with the cleanser provided until scabbing/flaking starts to finished.

    * After cleaning ensure the brows are completely dry and then apply a thin layer of the provided healing balm.

*Keep your new brows as dry as possible during the first 7 days.

    * Avoid heavy exercise that will elevate your heart rate and cause sweating for 7 days.

*Do not touch the scab in any other case other than for cleaning or applying balm (do not pick or scratch).

*Do not apply any form of makeup to the brow area for 12-14 days.

*Avoid swimming, sunbathing, tanning beds, sauna, beauty treatments, intense training accompanied by sweating, contact with dirt or dust for 11-14 days.

TEN TO FIFTEEN DAYS AFTER TREATMENT

Any scabbing should start to heal. Expect that your pigment will disappear during the healing process (this is normal!), over the next 4-6 weeks pigment will resurface. It will appear extremely light more of a soft hue in the skin as the new layer of skin covers the pigment.

FIFTEEN TO THIRTY DAYS AFTER TREATMENT

Healing should be fully complete within 28 days. If proper aftercare is followed, expect to lose a total of 20-30% of pigment through the healing process. At the end of 28 days, you should notice where touch ups are required for your next appointment. At your next appointment, I will identify where pigment has been lost during the healing process, then touch up and replace lost pigment for completely beautiful results. PMU is always 2 (in some cases 3) treatments to achieve colour build up and depth in the skin.

*Continue to be careful with the brow area during this time and avoid prolonged exposure to liquids and sun or UV light

  • While cosmetic tattooing is semi permanent, meaning colour refreshes will be needed over time, it is unlikely that the pigment will ever completely fade from your skin.

  • Clients usually get their brows touched up anywhere between 1-3 years.

  • Potentially! Email me some clear photos to bespoke.Inc.nz@gmail.com along with when you had them done and I will be happy to have a look. This is a requirement before booking in a cover up because sometimes previous work done elsewhere cannot be covered well and tattoo removal may be a better option.

  • Yes! Your brow hairs will still grow as normal so it's recommended to keep them waxed/tidied every 4-6 weeks to keep them looking fresh and to enjoy the full benefits of your beautiful shape! If you have naturally light hair I also would recommend a brow tint every now and then/before an event in to give them a subtle colour boost or to help blend the hair into the tattoo if you have opted to have your tattoo darker than your natural brow hair.

  • Yes! Cosmetic tattooing usually needs 2 initial sessions for best results- your first appointment and your 6 week follow up. After your first appointment you may leave with your brows super dark and intense(normal), and during the 7-10 day healing phase the tattoo will form a crust on top of the skin and over the week will shed off in flakes/chunks. Once this crust has shed it will reveal a much lighter and softer result in comparison to the dark colour that was sitting on top, and you may feel that your tattoo has come off with the healing process.

This is completely normal and the tattoo darkens up all by itself after 2-3 weeks, then just a few weeks later you have your touch up. This is when you have the option of altering the colour or tone, making them darker or adjusting any patchy areas. It's definitely a roller coaster of emotions, but important to hang on and trust the process!

  • Cosmetic pigments are usually made up of yellow, black and red oxides in different ratios to provide you a wide range of shades suitable for brow tattooing. In certain brands, overtime the oxides breaks down and is expelled from the body, but red being the most stable and stubborn of the 3 tends to linger in the body for much longer than the rest- in turn leaving a red/salmon hue in some cases.

Unfortunately pink/salmon brows are very common in PMU. There are several factors that can also contribute to discolouration, some including repeat exposure to UV rays with no sun protection, and poor aftercare.

Pink/salmon brows are easily fixed by counteracting the pink with an olive green shade to bring it back to brown AKA a colour correction and a colour boost- easy as that!
